OUR MISSION
The Conservative Majority Project works to make traditional limited government conservatism a majority viewpoint in Oregon by supporting candidates in key political races who will stay true to the conservative roots of the Republican party.
The CMP-PAC will target races where its resources and assistance will make the critical difference.
The Oregon Republican Party desperately needs new blood and new leadership. The Conservative Majority Project, with your help, will identify and elect this new leadership.

The Party needs people who believe in conservative principles, can articulate them, and defend them. People who believe in the principles of Individual Responsibility, Limited Government, Constitutional Democracy, Property Rights, and The Free Market.

The Republican Party desperately needs skilled and courageous people to step into the arena of ideas and challenge both the "Certified Smart People" and the establishment class who are running this state.

Oregon is drowning in bureaucracy: bureaucracy in our school systems; bureaucracy in our land-use policies; bureaucracy in our transportation systems, and even bureaucracy in how we make decisions. We are awash in task forces, committees, sub-committees, bureaus, agencies, departments, and commissions.

Meanwhile Oregon ranks 38 out of 50 states in lowest per-capita income, while our public employee union members enjoy the most lucrative benefit packages in the country. The unions drive Salem’s political agenda—the public employee unions—and other moneyed special interests hold the greatest sway over our elected officials, simply because they are the folks currently controlling the campaign purse strings.

Our public schools are falling in national rankings, even while we give school districts 20% budget increases from the state. We now spend more than $10,000 per student on average in Oregon in total taxpayer funds. Nevertheless, school districts are STILL not held accountable for results.

For the last 28 years, we have been living off the road capacity our parents and grandparents built for us from the 1950s to the 1980s. Every day 151 additional people move into our state and the congestion on our roads and highways increases. Over the next 20 years, a million new people will arrive. Meanwhile, the legislature gave $200 million in lottery funds to help pay for a light rail extension to Milwaukie that will reportedly cost $1.4 billion. Why? A simple look into who funds political campaigns would tell the answer.

How much highway and bridge expansion would $1.4 billion build?

Good paying jobs. Good schools. Highways that move at 55 miles per hour at all times. That's what the vast majority of Oregonians want.

These are but a few of the issues we would like to address through the support of a few solid candidates for the Oregon legislature.

Politics is a rough business. Threatening the status quo is dangerous. . . .

We need money to help our candidates win their races, and bring sanity back to the Oregon Legislature.

Our project is a bold one and one that some say we are foolish to undertake. “Don’t buck the status quo.” Some would say. “Don’t you know you can’t compete with the big money?” Others would parrot.

However, we HAVE to believe we can buck the status quo. And we believe that a few strong leaders in Salem can compete with the big money.

It can happen because there is strength in numbers. At this time, the strength that matters is thousands of financial contributions to this cause from individuals such as you.

The people involved in the project are people who have been involved in fighting for these issues, on the front lines, for years. We have been unflinching in our support for the free market, private property rights, real reform in schools and transportation policies that actually include roads (we know a novel approach.).

However, it has really come to the point that it is apparent we cannot do this alone. We can’t expect these issues to carry any weight in the Oregon legislature without the grassroots support of folks like you.

We are asking for your help now and we will be asking for your help in the future. Of course by making a financial contribution now, of any size, would be awesome. However, we will also be asking for your help in harnessing the power of new technology.

So take note, make a contribution, drop us an email and let’s start a new era in Oregon politics. Let’s join together to be on the forefront of taking back the policy initiative by competing with the unions and the special interests.

I look forward to working with you.
